Educated in the fine arts, Nancy grew up in a small town and was naturally artistic but received very little training until she went to college. She graduated Auburn University with a BFA in Fine Art.

Nancy studied painting, primarily acrylic, but discovered printmaking and pursued that for about a decade before deciding to concentrate on watercolor painting. " I also dabble in mixed media where I combine printmaking with watercolor and mark-making."

"My watercolors are mostly centered in Realism, but I enjoy negative painting, so I often find areas to abstract and repeat motifs."

Nancy finds her inspiration in her surroundings  "I enjoy the coast. I often paint from my own photos of sea-life and shore birds. I also enjoy painting houses, iconic buildings, lighthouses, and animals."

With her depth of experience, exposure to works of art from multiple schools of artwork through her education, Nancy produces some amazing works with incredible depth and texture in appearance. Her work is a treat to the eye as you will see when visiting Artworks Seville- Where Art lives.
